Veterinarian and Practice Owner

Dr. Pia Gamberg was born in Stockholm Sweden but spent her childhood in Richmond Hill, Ontario.  She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2002. Following graduation, she began her journey as a Veterinarian practicing with predominantly large animals in 2002.  Later, she worked her way into small animal medicine which led to the opening of Kemptville Animal Hospital in 2012.   Dr. Gamberg particularly enjoys her time doing surgery and practicing exotic animal medicine. She has immense satisfaction in meeting puppies and kittens and watching them grow as part of the family and supporting them into their golden years.

Dr. Gamberg can often be found singing and dancing around the clinic to whatever song is in her head. Her energetic and enthusiastic attitude keeps the clinic’s environment upbeat. Outside of work, Dr. Gamberg enjoys spending her summer weekends with her family camping and relaxing in a lawn chair. She enjoys travelling, exploring new places and baking decorative cakes. Dr. Gamberg also shares her home with a Boston Terrier Schnauzer mix named Harley, a crested gecko named Spike and a lovebird named Birdie.
